Everything the energy tool asks for is already drawn in the model.

Typing it in by hand
- 1Spread the floor plans out.
- 2Count the rooms one by one into a table.
- 3Measure area and orientation, then write them down again.
- 4Match every wall and window back to its room.
- 5Start over when the design changes.
Every design change means walking all five steps again. Miss one line and nobody notices.

- 3Look at what's missing and fix it.
- 4Save as gbXML, an ECO2 file, or Excel.
- When the design changes, press the same button again.
You reuse what you already built. What's missing comes back as a list.
FIXING
Fixes happen in Revit.
Finding what's missing and fixing it both happen inside Revit.
Straight to the element
Click the item and Revit selects that element. No hunting through levels to work out which room it meant.
One click to fix
Whatever needs attention is fixed right where it's reported. One Ctrl+Z undoes any of it.
Values not in the model
Some things are nowhere in the model and only you can decide them. Claric Energy asks instead of quietly picking a default, and won't proceed while any of it is still undecided.
WHAT IT DOESN'T DO
Limits
- — It leaves out systems. Heating, cooling and hot water go in on the receiving side.
- — It does not invent U-values. When the model carries no thermal data, Claric Energy leaves the field empty and says so in the note that ships with the file, rather than filling in a plausible number you'd never think to question.
- — It does not judge compliance. Claric Energy builds the data. It makes no statement about whether a design meets any code or standard.
- — What it can't capture is named, not hidden. Rather than invent something to fill the gap, Claric Energy leaves it out and tells you exactly what it left out.

Claric Energy never uploads your .rvt.
File names and folder paths are never transmitted at all.
Diagnostics, opt-in
If you turn on sharing, Claric Energy sends counts and measurements from where something went wrong — with room, level and type names stripped out. You can turn it off at any time.
No account, no email
There is nothing to sign up for. An anonymous random ID identifies the installation, never you — delete it and a new one is made.
